Every year 8,000 people in Israel are diagnosed with autism, significantly positioning the condition as one of the most important public health issues facing our society. Assisting the autistic community has become the focus of ALUT- The Israel National Autism Society, which offers a comprehensive array of services with the goal of best integrating the population with the greater community.
With enhanced diagnostic tools, they make apparent greater awareness of the needs of this community and appreciate that with proper counseling and therapy, an autistic child can enjoy all the happiness and opportunities made available to the mainstream. Therefore, it is their goal to ensure that these children, their families, and their educators are never forgotten but are given the tools, resources and confidence they need to thrive.
Catering for all ages, ALUT’s services begin for children diagnosed with autism, beginning at age of 18 months, who are then encouraged to enroll in our day-care centers.
ALUT’s Family Centres are made available for children of all ages together with their families. Occupational Centres provide special skill training for adults while 17 Residential Living Centres located around Israel provide specialized living facilities for those in need providing counseling and therapeutic supports services specifically designed for the autistic community.
